+ May we check-in early and/or stay late?

Normal check-in time is between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm and normal checkout time is 12 noon. If there is nobody on your campsite then we would be pleased to assist you with early check-in. (Late arrival check-in fee is $15 unless pre-approved.) If there is nobody scheduled to check into your campsite on that day, then you may pay the $15.00 late checkout fee and stay until 6:00 pm (maybe later depending on circumstances).

+ Do you stay open year-round?

Our campground is open every day, all year long. The summer season for our Seasonal Campers starts on 01 May and ends on 01 Oct. Water is typically turned off (winterized) on or after the 15th of October. (Arrangements will be made for Seasonal Campers that wish to arrive prior to 01 May or stay later till 15 October.)

+ How many campers can we have on one campsite and may we have visitors?

Campground rates are based on a family of two adults and four children/grandchildren (17 years old or younger). We want visitors, but an additional fee of $5.00 per person, per night, applies for additional campers, to cover the cost of extra utilities, sewer system load, etc. Visitors should stop by either the Camp Office or the Camp Host’s RV for a visitor’s pass and to pay the visitor fee. Maximum of eight campers allowed per site based on Michigan State law. Only one RV per campsite is allowed.

+ What is the campground cancellation policy?

Call before noon ten days before your scheduled arrival for refund of a non-seasonal deposit. There is a $25.00 cancellation fee. NO REFUND if cancel less than ten days from arrival. Seasonal deposits are non-refundable.

+ May we use our electric generator while parked at my campsite?

Generators may be used, but only if the noise does not bother other campers. Campers come here for peace and quiet. Note: During loss of electric power, generators may be used.

+ May we have a dog at our campsite?

Yes. Two dogs are permitted per campsite. All pets must be kept on a leash 6 feet or shorter (see manager if you have a longer leash) at all times while on campground. Please, no unattended, noisy, unvaccinated, or unlicensed pets. Do not leave dogs unattended in your RV if you leave the campground. Pets are not allowed in the restroom, playground, or other camper’s campsites. Always pick up after your pet. If dogs are a problem, you may be asked to leave with no refund.

+ May we bring in outside firewood?

Outside firewood is not permitted in our campground due to the threat of the Emerald Ash Borer. We sell locally cut firewood.

+ May we park several vehicles on my campsite?

Kindly park no more than one RV, one vehicle, and one ATV/UTV on a campsite. There are three overflow parking areas. One is in the front of the campground. The other is between the Red Recreation Building and the Yellow Dumpster. The third is in the open field behind the row of 20/30/50-amp Campers. Please do not infringe on your neighbor’s campsite.

+ Where may we purchase propane, gasoline, and groceries?

Note: Following prices current as of Nov 2023: Propane may be purchased at Coyne Propane at 513 W. Fifth Street, Clare MI 48617 (989-386-7731) Refill only, 20-pound tanks for $10.99 and 30-pound for $48.00. Also, K-D Quik Stop/Duggan Propane at 235 N Clare Ave., Harrison, MI (989-539-1269) Refill 20-pound tank for $14; 30-pound for $22; and 100-pound for $52, and all prices include tax. (They also sell 20 pounds of ice for $4.99 and ORV road stickers for $26.25 and ORV Trail stickers for $10.) Also, Heintz Propane at 330 N Clare Ave., Harrison, MI (989-368-1363) Refill tanks; 20-pounds for $14; 30-pounds for $22; 40-pounds for $24, and 100-pounds for $52. The Colonville Amish Store refills 20-pounds for $9, 30-pounds for $13.50 nd 100-pounds for $42.00.

Gasoline may be purchased at Family Fare Quick Stop at 1713 N Clare Ave., Harrison MI (989-539-7837) and Shell at 701 N 1st St, Harrison, MI (989-539-2181), and Sunoco at 3010 N Clare Ave., Harrison, MI (989-539-3141), and Marathon at 190 N Clare Ave., Harrison, MI (989-539-7211).

Groceries may be purchased at Family Fare Supermarket at 1570 N Clare Ave., Harrison MI (989-539-2108) and Save A Lot at 158 N 1st St., Harrison, MI (989-539-7774) and Steve’s Country Meats at 3170 N Clare Ave., Harrison, MI (989-539-3110) and Walraven’s Country Garden Fruit Market at 597 N First St., Harrison, MI (989-539-3565).

+ Where may we find ORV Trails?

There are over 4,000 miles of state-designated ORV trails in trhe State of Michigan. The DNR Leota ORV Trail is less than 12 miles away, with the closest entrance even closer. The Trail covers Missaukee, Roscommon, and Clare Counties.

+ Do you have a dump station and potable water?

We have a dump station that is available for registered campers to use for free. It is also available for non-guests to use for a fee of $20. We have non-potable water for rinsing the RV tanks. We also have potable water.
